The Hellenic Development Group (HDG) was established with the idea of
Hellenes (more commonly known as Greeks)
assisting, supporting and collaborating with each other in all aspects of business, in order to help
fund educational and developmental programs, resulting in the advancement, prosperity and growth of the
community. HDG is a non-profit, private organization. There are no physical or geographical boundaries to
this initiative; the only criterion for participation is that members must have Hellenic ties, as laid out
in the charter. Accordingly,
the Hellenic Development Group's Mission Statement identifies with its purpose: "To unify and organize
Hellenes in business, in order to support and promote education and personal development in the
community"
HDG provides a platform for Hellenes to promote their businesses, products and/or professional services,
and to get more exposure through referrals to other members. Members can, and should make this their first
resource when searching for services or products. Let's support each other! The HDG Business Directory is
made available to all web surfers, whether they are HDG members, or not.
Although our mission starts with business promotion, this is not our end goal. HDG promotes Hellenic
business development to strengthen the community, and through this vehicle to generate revenues from
advertising and membership in order to support its primary objective of community education and development.
HDG cares deeply about the wellbeing and prosperity of the community and is dedicated to using available
resources to uplift people. Some of the related services it offers in order to achieve its goals include:
funding educational and scholarships opportunities; the assistance to members who are job hunting; making
HDG-member-initiated job openings available to its other members; facilitation of sponsorships; facilitation
of business and personal introductions; facilitation of partnership opportunities; organization of business
networking and social events; facilitation of forums and blogs of common interest to the community; and
